A meeting that has a file before it starts
Advisory time is wasted when the problem, the people in the room, and the decision you want are not in the invitation. This essay describes that file.
A meeting is for a decision
If a meeting ends with no decision, no owner, and no time, it was an introduction. Introductions are sometimes necessary. They should not take the place of diagnosis.
Before you spend the hour, write one sentence: from this conversation we want a decision on this subject.
Who needs to be in the room
An extra person turns the conversation into a presentation. A missing person returns the decision after the meeting. Write roles, not a ceremonial list of names.
Name the materials there too: which number, which customer complaint, which process. Without evidence, the meeting collects opinions.
The practical details should reach you
In Rahnegasht’s meeting system, email and phone are taken so the practical details are sent there. That turns a vague request into a named time.
If the problem is still unclear, the prep room and the studio assistant build the same file with staged questions. The relevant team then enters faster.
This chart is a teaching model for the argument, not a survey result.
| Part | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Decision | One sentence |
